Hi! I'm Andie Gomez-Patron
I am excited about understanding the earth with satellites and geophysical instruments
... while having a blast!

Hi !
My name is Andie Gomez-Patron and I am a Ph.D. candidate working with Dr. Matt Pritchard at Cornell University in the Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department and a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow (GRFP). I have a B.S. from Northwestern University in Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Earth and Planetary Sciences, and certificates in Design Engineering and Civic Engagement.
2026 (expected): Ph.D. Geophysics Cornell University
Advisor: Matt Pritchard
2020: B.S. Electrical Engineering Northwestern University
(Departmental Honors in McCormick Undergraduate Honors Program for Electrical Engineering)
I am interested in understanding volcanoes, rifts, and other geologic hazards using various remote sensing techniques and geophysical instruments. I am passionate about volcano forecasting and other natural hazard assessment.
When I am not studying volcanoes and satellite imagery, I am probably playing pick-up soccer with my friends, working on random building projects, or reading.
